January 2007 Potential problems with Adobe Acrobat could mean trouble for computer
users One of the most important tools for web users is Abode Acrobat Reader. This
enables the computer to read pdf files, the most popular way of posting documents
on the web and in email. Security researchers have identified a
bug that can allow viruses and other malware to infect Windows computers. The solution is to update to the latest version of Acrobat Reader. This can
be downloaded
for free from Adobe. We'd strongly recommend all Windows user do this. It should be noted that the latest versions of Acrobat will not run on older
versions of Windows. The latest Acrobat versions available for those older system
are subject to this bug. Users of older computers should take extra care when
surfing the net.
